Assembly instruction for the Standard TX2200P package using an external'Panel' antennae. UMTS (3G) 2200 Networks. This kit will cover all providers for 3G ONLY, this will NOT do GSM frequencies. Do you have a 3G modem or handset with poor 3G speeds? Then this is the kit for you.
This kit tends to be used when there is a mobile signal strength of at least two bars outside the house on three sides but very little or no signal inside the building, this kit and all others has Full CE Approval and comes with 12 months warranty.
The panel antenna is positioned towards the top left hand corner of the picture. It is supplied with screws and rawl-plugs such that it is an easy job to mount it on the wall facing the best signal. It doesn't need to be mounted at extreme height but it is wise to put it out of the reach of children and animals.
It is important to position the panel aerial on the wall outside of which the best signal can be achieved. The whole effectiveness of the installation revolves around the correct fitting and, to an extent, the directionality of the external antennae.
Cable from the Panel aerial comes down the side of the building before going through the wall and being attached directly into the top of the TX2200 unit.
If you are using an aerial contractor, then that person will also drill the access hole in the wall that the cable needs. If doing it yourself, a suitable drill and long drill bit can be hired from your local tool-hire center. Don't forget to seal the hole after the aerial cable has been passed through and a tube of suitable sealant can usually be found at the tool-center as well.
The main processor, the TX2200 unit, is attached to the inside of the wall using its mounting plate that has previously been attached to the wall using Rawl-plugs. The aerial able is attached to the top of the TX2200 unit, the power cable is plugged into the side of the TX2200 and the system is switched on and communication is restored.
