Repeater kit - (includes LPDA-A0021 Yagi antenna)

This is the TX1800 kit modified so that the panel antennae and cable is replaced by the ultra sensitive and directional 'Yagi' antennae which once properly orientated will pull in a decent signal from a mast several miles away.

GSM 1800 Networks. Full CE Approval. 12 months Warranty.

If you require custom cable lengths contact us via Email/Phone for a custom quote. The kit comes with 7m hard wired to the LPDA antenna and 10m Extension also included in the box giving 17m in total. We can exchange this extension for a longer length please email/phone for pricing.

The Yagi Antennae, located at the top of the picture, can be mounted on the same mast as a television aerial or even, if you are lucky, will attach to the same mounting the satellite dish uses. If all else fails and you don't feel up to doing it for yourself, then you probably need to talk to your local aerial contractor. The importance of accurately positioning the directional aerial cannot be stressed enough. The whole effectiveness of the installation revolves around the correct fitting and directionality of the external antennae.

You need to find the position of the nearest transmission mast that provides the frequency appropriate to your mobile phone. . One way to do this is to go to www.sitefinder.ofcom.org.uk and this site will help you to find out where the closest suitable mast is located. The possession of a local Ordinance Survey map can often assist in this search. This transmission mast may be several miles away but accurate positioning of the external aerial, can often achieve good signal strength in places where even marching around the garden with your phone fails to achieve a workable signal. The TX1800 unit itself can help since once it is connected to the external aerial and the power is turned on, you won't get the single green light shining on its own until the Yagi antennae, really is, pointing in the right direction!

The 'Yagi' aerial is mounted as high as is reasonably possible on your building so as to achieve the best line of sight to the distant transmission mast. Cable from the Yagi comes down the side of the building before going through the wall and being attached directly into the top of the TX1800 unit.

If you are using an aerial contractor, then that person will also drill the cable hole in the wall that the system needs. If doing it you, a suitable drill and long drill bit can be hired from your local tool hire center. Don't forget to seal the hole after the Yagi cable has been passed through and a tube of suitable sealant can usually be found at the tool-center as well.

The main processor, the TX1800 unit, is attached to the wall using its mounting plate, which has previously been attached to the wall using Rawl-plugs. The aerial able is attached to the top of the TX1800 unit, the power cable is plugged into the side of the TX1800 and the system is switched on and communication is restored.

Do bear in mind that all mobile phone users in the building need to be using the same group of providers so as to achieve total connectivity for everyone.

The Picture below shows how the TX1800Y kit goes together.
